I believe that most will agree with me when I say that social networking is the most useful tool that has come about in the past number of years. I think that it has grown into something much more important than simply a realm in which friends could come together and talk when they couldn't through conventional means. Nowadays, it's more or less a juggernaut and businesses have utilized it time and time again. That being said, should certain figures not be allowed to utilize - and potentially abuse - this particular platform?
Let's get something out of the way: when you post on any kind of social networking site, it's a direct reflection of you. When I make casual posts on my Facebook wall, for example, I sometimes throw in a bit of sarcasm but it's not for the sake of being hurtful. I simply show a joking nature in that regard and those who know me understand this as well. However, celebrities are very much like businesses and companies like fishbat can say that each movement made will be a prime indicator.
Let's say that a business made a post about a tragic event; how exactly does it go about doing so? One of the fashions that can be taken up is to simply post condolences and nothing else; it may seem basic but I find it to be the best approach. What isn't such a great idea, though, is making the same post but then linking back to the company's website. It does nothing but show that it was simply a means to advertise when it should not have been done.
As far as celebrities are concerned, there are a number of Tweets that have been made that it shocks me when I see them with my own eyes. For example, Kanye West made a Tweet last year, saying that Kim Kardashian, "did not know what a blessing," he was to her. To say the least, it turned me off because it showed such a sign of ego that it's difficult to put into words. What I do know, however, is that it did nothing to help him in the public eye.
When it comes to implementing social networking, it seems like there are a multitude of ways in which it can be done. Some of them include making use of various tools in order to increase a user base and those whom belong to said group understand when they're being appealed to in the best ways. However, for every right way that this level of networking is done, there are wrong ways and certain stories in Hollywood have shown just how insane it can become. Words hold a lot of weight, especially on the Internet.
